Without a shadow of doubt Ch Dandyhow April Fool is the foundation of the Irton kennel, unusual perhaps for a line to be established on a dog – but what an outstanding one! His influence comes mainly through three of his daughters whose lines account for all the Irtons.
Our firstborn was Irton Firecracker – named for her distinctive red coat and seen pictured here with her famous sire.

She was one of three bitches born in our very first litter and is ex Lochmaddy Mist at Irton. She is the dam of our first homebred Champion, Irton Wildfire and her line carries on through to our latest CC winner Irton Fiddles On Fire – both of whom were also named for their distinctive red coats.
